Turinabol is a surprisingly potent anabolic agent that you’ve likely never heard of. The drug traces its roots back to the middle of the 20th century. It was then that it was specifically designed in Soviet Russia to help give its Olympic athletes an advantage in competition.
Because of this, it has a specific structure and specific effects that are custom suited for the needs of an athlete.
One of these is the addition of a 4-chloro chemical group to, what would otherwise be a Dianabol-based agent. This alteration makes for a milder, yet far more tolerable, side-effect friendly, and efficient chemical. However, for comparative purposes, it is slightly milder than Dianabol.
This means that there is less binding with some androgen receptors in the body. However, through binding with other receptors responsible for anabolic signaling, Turinabol exerts a sharp change in cellular signaling in tissues in the body, to cause greater protein and muscle production and retention, without some of the other, less desirable effects mediated by androgen receptor activation.
While the androgenic affinity of Turinabol is greatly reduced, and its affinity for estrogen is eliminated, the anabolic potency doesn’t take as much of a hit, meaning it can deliver some impressive results for such an efficient agent.
This naturally gives it a preferred place in most bodybuilders and athletes regimes, a topic we shed some light on further below.
As with any drug, the amount of Turinabol taken will dictate its effects on the body. The amount required for a user’s desired results will also depend on a number of factors.
This includes factors like gender, prior experience with the use of such anabolic, and the sensitivity of the individual to its effects. If you’re using other anabolics in conjunction with Turinabol, this is also worthy of consideration.
Fortunately, due to Turinabol being specifically designed for athletic use, there is no shortage of research and anecdotal reports about dosing it. Some clinical uses have specified a dose of 1 to 2 milligrams daily.
However, for male athletic or aesthetic users, the dosage is around 20 to 60 milligrams daily, with some highly experienced users reporting to have exceeded this amount.
Meanwhile, although it is not recommended for use by females due to the androgen potency it still possesses, there have been reports of female users experiencing good results with between 5 to 20 milligrams per day.
This use would usually continue for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. The overarching goal of these periods is a topic reviewed further in the section below.
The non-existent impact of estrogen levels of Turinabol means that it will deliver only increases in lean tissue. Although, these increases will be slow-acting and gradual in nature.
This means it would be best suited for periods where the overall goal is the gradual increase in muscle mass and strength. Common outcomes during periods like this would be an approximate increase in muscle mass of 10 pounds in around 6 weeks.
However, it is more commonly used for periods closer to competition or a tournament, there the aim is to preserve as much lean tissue as possible, while reducing overall size through fat loss, or increase its power-to-mass ratio.
The more tolerable mature of the chemical, with a lower impact on fat and water retention, and blood pressure, means it can be used in multiple phases. However, the end of every phase should of course be followed by an appropriate recuperative cycle, in order to ensure consistent and efficient gains.
